Why not just get an FX4 then mod it?

$42k for a brand new Raptor is unheard of, so I wouldn't say this guy is getting ***** at $53k. Hell, randy is selling his at $1500 off MSRP which is right at $53k.

No it's not! I paid exactly $42,000 for my 2011 Raptor. I didn't buy many options - only the Raptor Plus Package (rear camera and trailer brake controller) and the Tailgate Step.

You lose out on the downhill mode, offroad mode, torsen front end, sequential shifting and overall a better truck for playing in the dirt. My daily driver Raptor only has some lights in the front, Kings and a Outlaw Raptor Bump Stop kit on it. For a daily, it absolutely rocks. I couldn't believe how big a difference the Kings made in driveablity on the street.

Rick, did you keep your sway bar on the front when you had the kings put on?

ELECTRONICS. They make the truck what it is, and make it able to do what it does. Without the specialized electronics on this truck, you would have about 1/2 the fun off road, and it wouldn't be NEARLY as safe at high speeds.

As far as suspension and body parts, sure... you could make a clone. But you'll always know it's a clone and the re-sale will NOT be on par with even your original FX4 at that point, considering it will be a Frankenstein! haha

Also outlaw raptor found this out, the Raptor cab is much stronger and reinforced than the standard f150 cab. 4-5 layers of metal compared to 1-3 on the standard cab. Huge safety factor.

I've heard this but didn't know for sure if it is true. Is this definitely confirmed?
