Who received their 37 and disliked the blue interior?

I think that the decoupling of 37 from the different color interior is based on feedback from customers and the dealers who are likely getting a bunch of “no thanks” where they otherwise could have up sold the truck further. If the bottom line wasn’t suffering, ’22’s would still have the different color interior.

It’s not necessarily that it’s blue or there’s a lot of blue, or it’s the wrong shade of blue. We saw similar reactions to the new TRD with its red interior. That truck has just too much and I think the 37 package got a lot of similar feedback.

I think there are other Easter eggs in the ’22 pricing and the one that sticks out to me is marrying the moon roof to the tailgate step. 2 WHOLLY unrelated options, the former often scoffed at by potential purchasers looking to save $$$ for a feature they really aren’t interested in, the latter being a not very expensive option that pretty much every buyer who has it likes. This is a clever way to get folks who want the tailgate step, to pay almost $3k for it instead of a couple hundred bucks. Maybe & hopefully I misread that and I’m way off base but it wouldn’t surprise me if that were done.

I’m thinking there are going to be quite a few early adopters that paid hefty ADMs for 37 Package 2021 trucks with some buyer’s remorse when they see 2022 37 Pack trucks with black interiors for $5-15K less than they paid.

Your not finding any 37 pkgs discounted that much. 37 pkgs will be hard to come by regardless of the interior color.

You are misunderstanding my post. I am talking about your typical 2021 37 customer that paid ADM to be ‘first’, probably getting one of two allocations. He will realize that he could have waited 6 months, gotten the 37s without a circus interior and likely no ADM.

I hope prices come down, but IMHO prices will continue to climb. Tons of articles in the WSJ about inflation and the attached link, if correct spells it out.
