Who actually likes their aftermarket exhaust?

I am a fan of my Roush exhaust. It sounds good and I don't even notice it on long trips. I did cringe slightly when I would do a cold start in the winter and get on the gas leaving an intersection in front of my house, but that was short lived once warm and I don't even notice it now. I would do it all over again

I was thinking about cutting a hole in the exhaust before the resonator and weld in an actuator that's wired up to one of the overhead switches. Idea is to have straight pipes when I want them but have the ability to quiet things down so I dont wake the neighbors lol. My only worry is how the beast will sound

GREAT video! works well. But Corsa doesn't have the Extreme for the 2019 Raptors - only the Sport (according to their webpage). What is your exact set up?

That’s strange. Mine is a 2020, to the best of my knowledge, there is no difference.

I don't have a sound clip as they never really do justice to being at the truck, and that is with any exhaust. Of all the exhausts I've heard in person, this one, Ford Performance Sport, sounds the best to me. Zero drone at any speed or RPM but much more growl when you get on it. It isn't obnoxious or juvenile like the Borla Atak - my business partner has that and it's way too loud IMO.

I want to put exhaust on my truck that's more aggressive than stock. I have realistic expectations of what a v6 will sound like with exhaust but would like to hear the turbos more and get more bite when I'm on it. I am Cobb stage 2, frequently tow a travel trailer and have a wife and kids who would not like the Borla Atak or electric cut outs ; )

If you are truly happy with your exhaust, not embarrassed when you romp on it, not droned out while cruising or feel like you ruined your truck by modifying the exhaust I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. There are so many options, I've listened to the clips, read the posts etc. but want real world feedback from people who are actually happy with their exhaust purchase as I don't know anyone local with a Gen 2 that has exhaust. My first job out of school was powertrain engineering at Ford and I know the amount of work they put into making their performance vehicles sound as good as they can within the bounds of compliance, fuel economy and legality but also know these restrictions mean there is meat left on the bones for aftermarket.

Despite what anyone else has said, I stand firmly by my previous statement that the exhaust note is very personal, much like different tastes in music. I absolutely love my exhaust note on the Borla ATAK. I wouldn’t want it ANY different. I listened to audio clips ad nauseam and came down the to Borla ATAK.... for ME. I can only shake my head at someone trying to convince me that I am wrong or that theirs is “better”. Like someone trying to convince me that I should like Rap music. I respect that others like a different sound/tone. Great, but PLEASE don’t tell me what sound I should like...that’s just ridiculous. It still remains one of my most 2 favorite mods.

And be very aware that someone’s audio clip without decent recording equipment is really gonna negatively effect what you hear. Obviously, in-person comparison would be best. Even the best audio clip isn’t going to give you the full effect. Good luck. The clip put out by Borla that I posted earlier is fairly true to tone.
