I’ve been running the Flowmaster Flowfx for about a year now. I love it. It’s got a deeper tone than stock and no rasp at wide open throttle. There is no drone when driving interstate at 70mph. Don’t get me wrong it distant sound like a V8 but in my opinion it’s very good for a V6. Easy install and not priced to crazy for what it is.

I have had the FlowMaster FlowFX and SPD TAs for almost 2 years and it sounds way better then stock with zero drone at any speed. It growls nicely under heavy acceleration and passes the wife test when driving normally. Fitment was slightly difficult but nothing terrible. I would definitely do it again.

Here is the FRF forum member video that convinced me to do mine: scroll to the 5:15 mark

I have an AFE and it is loud, but I love the hi-tuck/turn down look. I’ve had it for almost 6 months now, no complaints and did the install solo without a problem. They designed it with shorter easy to manage segments.

I am complete opposite. I need something where I don't hear the exhaust at all, the radio can only go so loud.

I want to put exhaust on my truck that's more aggressive than stock. I have realistic expectations of what a v6 will sound like with exhaust but would like to hear the turbos more and get more bite when I'm on it. I am Cobb stage 2, frequently tow a travel trailer and have a wife and kids who would not like the Borla Atak or electric cut outs ; )

If you are truly happy with your exhaust, not embarrassed when you romp on it, not droned out while cruising or feel like you ruined your truck by modifying the exhaust I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. There are so many options, I've listened to the clips, read the posts etc. but want real world feedback from people who are actually happy with their exhaust purchase as I don't know anyone local with a Gen 2 that has exhaust. My first job out of school was powertrain engineering at Ford and I know the amount of work they put into making their performance vehicles sound as good as they can within the bounds of compliance, fuel economy and legality but also know these restrictions mean there is meat left on the bones for aftermarket.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing from you!

Yeah, I’ve been pretty vocal about how much I LOVE this exhaust. Have done quite a few mods but this has got to be one of my two faves (tied with my Rigid 360 series light kit from SPV). I have the Borla ATAK. It is fairly loud but has a deep growl that even the video I’ll include doesn’t quite capture; otherwise you can go S type for a good sound that’s a bit quieter. I’ve noticed no drone. Cruising at any speed is quite civilized (only a bit louder than stock) but it’s a barbarian when you open her up.

Listen to the following with good quality headphones. If you don’t like the way it sounds, go elsewhere because they capture the tone pretty well but the deep rumble in your chest you’ll only feel in person.

I think exhaust note is very important but also VERY personal; like different kinds of music. I don’t doubt that others touting their exhaust truly think it’s better than the Borla ATAK...because to them, it is. I’d listen to as many as you can but make sure it’s a good quality recording and listen to it with good headphones or speakers.

And here’s the best price I’ve seen in a while. They had them for $895 but it’s crept up just a tiny bit. I paid $1040 on sale.
