Who’s sold their Gen 1 during this market and hates the decision they made?

TRX isn’t going for $100k. @BoostedToy got his $10k off MSRP, and he stated his was not the top trim model.

My arguments are based on facts; not sure what trans “male athletes” or “real men” have anything to do with the conversation.

“Better” is subjective. If you’re building your truck into an off road only desert runner, it might make sense to buy a cheaper truck and build it. Especially in the event that it gets damaged. But you’ll probably never get that money back out of it. My comments were in reference to the average owner who uses their truck as a daily or moderate off road use and not exclusively off road or in competition. It’s a good market to sell used and buy new, but of course that’s not a position everyone is interested in.

I ended up adding a couple additional options last minute to my TRX order. I just optioned out a 22’ Raptor on Ford.com as close as I could to mirror the TRX I ordered. What I do not know is if dealers are running below MSRP deals similar to the TRX (which there are still 3-4 running 9k, 10k off MRSP and another running 4% below invoice).

Pricing to me is a wash with the dealer discount. How long they continue to offer 10k off MSRP, I do not know. I guess where I’m at with it is if I can get a 700hp SC V8 with a warranty for the same price as a Gen 3, I’m wading into the TRX waters. Is it possible I regret selling my Gen 1? Absolutely. I haven’t been in a Gen 3 yet but I prefer (look at my previous posts, no, I do not believe the Gen I is a better truck than the Gen II) my Gen I to the Gen II. The TRX is closer to a modern Gen I on steroids than the Gen I is to a Gen II, my opinion only.

I like my gen 1 still has a key. Although the fob is much more convenient
So you admit that the fob is much more convenient...why do you still like a traditional ignition key over push button start?
