Fuel trims:
LTFT1: 7.8
LTFT2: 3.9

Short terms at idle were moving from -1.6 to 1.6.
Im using the GT500 throttle body that came with the kit.

If its an air leak I hope its not the manifold. I already had the entire assembly resealed with new O-Rings!

I let the truck idle for around 20 minutes and the idle surge seemed to get much better. Hopefully it will tune itself all the way out. It seems to start kinda sloppy compared to before the updated tune where it would start very smooth. I think I will reset the ecm with the new gas in it and see what happens.

Looks to be in the tune to me.
It is dropping below 500 rpm and revving up to keep the engine from dieing.

I would call John Lund or find a competent local tuner to re-do the tune.

Going with a local tuner on mine for sure now. Was disappointed to see Whipple only puts 37lbs injectors in with their kit. Thats definitely on the small side for a boosted 6.2L making 600+hp.

I thought they were 47lb injectors? ie 07-12 shelby style injectors?

They changed from 63 lbs to 47 lbs now with the complete kits and updated tune.
I still have the 63 lbs with stock exhaust no problems here.

Beerhasvitamins is running with a cutout which is something Whipple does not support so maybe he so stop using it.

Whipple is still working on the LT Tune and they still might not sell it.

It's hard to tell. The 34 and 47's look the same. I'm going to call Whipple tomorrow and see what they say.

My tuner had some GT500 injectors we compared against which he said were 55lbs and they are about 1/4" shorter. They will work with a little modifying to the fuel rail spacers that come with the kit.

We are also looking at maybe some Siemens 60lbs.

You are right. they are Ford Racing 47lbs injectors. Plenty of injector up to 700hp.

The 07-12 GT500 runs 47lb/hr injectors; the 13' runs 55's. I have the 47's in my car with upgraded pumps, and run 685 @ the wheel. The 47's are good for a ton a fuel, EASILY within the range of what the Raptor is laying down.

I would guess there is no reason to go with a bigger injector, however I do not know what the Raptor fuel pumps flow like.

A lot of people talk about custom tunes etc. But, the resources behind the Whipple tunes just can't be beat, and frankly I am not looking to make "huge" numbers with the truck (once we get it). I think laying down 500 or so to the wheel is more than enough for daily driver...especially since it is for my wife.

rbarn, is the guage pod you installed the Roush vent pod, or another brand?

Ford seems to be putting 400lph pumps in their V8 cars and trucks now. Will support a ton of power on the stock returnless fuel system with a Boost-a-pump. I'm betting the Raptor stock fuel system with a BAP would handle 600'ish rwhp.

The killer for me on the Whipple tune is 1. It is locked out and 2. You have to send them your entire ECU and wait for them to send it back. My tuner says they are not any harder to tune than the new Copperhead ECU's in the new-gen Mustangs. Which is to say you have to know what you are doing or you can have some serious headaches. These new-gen Ford ECU's are very complicated.

If my tuner cant get it running right I will send the ECU to Whipple.

Yes, that is the Roush gauge vent pod. Got mine from Jegs.
