Here is a good site for Tint Laws.
They say they have "the most accurate up-to-date information possible", but I haven't checked to verify.

Some cities also have lighter tint requirements.

20% and it's perfectly fine at night....rolling them down does help a bit but I've been used to front tinted windows at 20% for several years. I don't care about tint laws too much...I'd rather be protected from the sun rays while driving from meeting to meeting and sitting in absurd amounts of traffic up here.

Looks good! I was thinking about doing 20% front and back but may just do the fronts. I'm afraid the rears will be to dark at night.

I'd recommend the windshield, if you "know" someone. I have 50% on it and 20% on my sides. The picture you can see me and buddy inside it and that's with side windows down. Other picture is with windows up. One thing to note is I got it inspected the day before so before we tinted it, removed it and put it on back side of tint. So when I go next year I can remove and hope they don't notice.

I have 5% limo tint all the way around in AZ, and I haven't been pulled over yet so all good. :p I feel once I go home to Florida I'll be screwed.

I agree, the window followed by a tint strip on the top and it gives the illusion that the front window has nothing but a tint strip at the top.

With 50% and 5% tint strip...

I imagine 50% is practically nothing so would it be noticeable at all? I have a 5% strip at the top and 5% all the way around. Any problems seeing at night or just adds a little bit more privacy during the day?

It actually looks much darker from the front....my friends told me they can't even see me inside. It doesn't effect night vision, it just helps deter high beams and bright lights which works for me since my eyes are sensitive to brightness.
