Mobil 1 5w20 full synthetic. I use Mobil 1 in ALL of my motorized vehicles/toys & anytime I've ever had to pull anything apart internally on any of my vehicles it has always been as clean as brand new. Mobil 1 is the best, period.

And BTW, Royal Purple is crap.

Fords: Motorcraft while under warranty. Vehicles don't last that long usually.

I've read that most people who have sent oil off to get an oil analysis done after changing say that the Mobil 1 Filters and K&N Filters (same assembly plant) do the best job of filtering. Something like 99.7% at 20 micron. The worst job goes to 94% at 30 micron for a standard Fram filter. Google there are lots of good write ups out there. I run Castrol Edge in all my vehicles. Mobil 1 if I cant get Castrol.

I have the Ford dealer change and use full synthetic...I dont know what brand. I am pretty laid back on my demands as long as I am doing my best for keeping the truck tip top. I dont know what Ford dealers use in synthetic brands, but assume its a synthetic motocraft. Once I break out of the warranty period, I will make sure it is mobil 1 as that seems to be the concensus for everyone here.

I am using the stock oil filters from the dealer, but running Valvoline synthetic oil. I have uused Valvoline for a long time in my sports cars, pickups, and stuff and never had an oil related problem with a vehicle ever. So I use it just because I have for a couple decades I guess, and it works for me. Walmart usually has it on a good price, occasionally Costco has an amazing deal on it, and when they do I buy about 10 jugs at once.

It probably is Motorcraft. All of the Ford dealers near me only carry Motorcraft oils.
