Lol your expectations are way too high. You must have (or had) some premium brand vehicles. You're lucky at most Ford dealers if they know what's different between a Raptor and a regular F-150. I would never expect them to have any knowledge of after market stuff. I've not heard of a dealer within hours of me that has a service department with real Raptor knowledge. You just don't get that kind of experience at most dealers if you're not in a premium brand.

I hadn't thought about it, but that's a big part of it that I hadn't thought about. Dealt with Volvo, Infiniti, and Porsche and got used to everyone being pretty sharp and treating us very well. :Big Laugh:

I wouldn't think that any dealer would make any changes to a vehicle outside of OEM specs, due to liability. Techs at my dealer are very knowledgeable and do Great work. They know what Forescan is, however they use a system I think is called IDS or something along that line.

I added an OEM Kicker Sub/Amp to one of my F150 XLT's and they had to turn it on for me. I could be done in Forescan as well.

I just purchased my 20 Raptor a few weeks ago and my B/O system Sub/Amp wasn't working. Dealer took care of it next day.

Congrats on your new Raptor! Hope you get it back soon.

Yep that's what I figured. I've not owned a premium brand but work in automotive and know the service experience is worlds different at premium brand dealers. A loaded 802A Raptor doesn't come up short on premium features in my mind but when searching for a dealer to service with your goal is mediocre because the alternatives are poor and horrible. I bought my Raptor out of state. Come time for service I went to the nearest Ford dealer and never went back. They were terrible and didn't know a thing. Now I take it to a place an hour away. They're still not great but I at least see some appreciation that I have a Raptor and I'm going to expect more than the guy with a 2015 Fusion.

I confirmed with my dealer today that their software will not let them make changes, like delete the double honk. You can thank the lawyers for that. Thousands of frivolous lawsuits have turn us into a nanny state, with manufactures run by lawyers so their a** is covered. I am surprised that the lawyers allow the seat belt chime to be turned off, but thankfully we can still do that.

It is not the dealer's fault. They are bound by their franchise agreement (written by lawyers) and can't do software changes outside of their normal software.

Maybe it's the grumpy old veteran in me but; am I the only one concerned about Russian coded software (Forscan) on my computer and subsequently my Raptor? I see plenty of people on here it works for and that's awesome - but what's it doing in the background or capable of doing later?

Are you sure it is Russian? I thought the sync 4 upgrade was.
