If ye seek, ye shall find.... places to offroad

I live in Dallas now and when I first got my Raptor I was always looking. When it rained every day for a week, I let myself into this development property every day and churned it into one hell of a mudbowl.

Until some ol' neighbor biddy complained and the cops showed up and told me to give it a rest.

Paper tags still on haha. Never had so many people taking pictures of me as I drove all over the metroplex for a week looking like this

Helluva lot of fun until cleanup time. A weeks worth of mud layers on top of dried mud is a bitch to get off.

This truck is my daily driver - mostly trapped in the big city, and often cleaned up all presentable like. But I am usually offroad at least once a week, getting my fix and wreaking havoc somewhere.

The undercarriage never lies.

What size tires are you currently running and how do you like the Toyo open country?

"bro my roads are so bad its basically just like high speed desert offroading, nevermind that 10 year old kia rio handling it just fine"

Come on Glendale has great streets, you don't need 4 low until you venture into Los Angeles. As well has a gun. Just kidding about the gun (not really).

No "RLTW" we won't ask that, it probably wont be the truth and because we all know that you being an officer are nothing more than a desk jockey and a power point Ranger. You having only a tab doesn't make you a Ranger either. Ranger school is nothing more than a leadership school open to all males in any branch of military service. A real Ranger is one who wears a scroll and tan beret. A member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. A smal unit tactic expert who conducts nighttime direct action raids. Rangers of Regiment are special operations not regular army. You went to school great but don't even for a second think you are a Ranger. You want to start an inflammatory thread and as previously seen this isn't the only one you like to belittle people on. What is most disheartening is that you are a leader of a group of men and your moral compass is clearly skewed. You insinuating that "not much has changed" from Darby's Rangers of WWII is disgusting. You being dishonest, and inflammatory on this forum is not setting a good example for others to follow. If you want to be a jerk go ahead but change your name and stop telling people you are something you are not. Only because you are a fake, liar, and poser and acting like a **** on here am I calling you out. Anyone else want to verify simply google 75th Ranger Regiment and you will see what a liar this guy is

Holy shit. That was a little over the top. I don't know what the **** planet you're from but if the guy made it through Ranger school and has the tab he's a ********* Ranger.

I'll tell you as a tabbed and scrolled Ranger from 1st Ranger Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment that he is NOT. Do yourself a favor and simply do 30seconds of research. I typically let this go but he clearly is a pretentious ***** who thinks his shit dont stink an he is some billy bad ass and needs to have a reality check

Yeah, in the 1st two of my pics you can see how balled up the BFG's get in mud. Slip & slide with no traction. Sooner or later will get you stuck.

The TOYO's are heavy, tough, and have great traction with good cleanouts for mud or snow conditions.

Mine are 37's on NV's with Boatec front glass fenders to allow full travel without rubbing when jumping around offroad

I probably should just walk away from this thread and not say anything but, I feel oddly loyal to FRF and had the urge to share my 2 cents worth. Feel free to ignore, here goes:

I thought this started as just an observational post and discussion among somewhat like-minded people about how different parts of the Raptor community chooses to use their trucks. Also mixing in how people who use their trucks differently view people who don't use them the same way. This didn't have to be mean spirited and personal in my opinion. Just like Cubs and Cardinal fans can sometimes have polite discussions. Instead this turned into virtual bar fight.
Please carry on with the fighting if needed, I will stay out of it.

I only come to FRF to learn about our trucks and hang out virtually with what is mostly and awesome group of people. I have made a number of real life friends through this community and plan on making more as time goes on. Everyone can't get along I get that. Hopefully those who are getting upset will be able to move on and stay part of the community. Odds are good if you do you will be able to have the same positive experiences that I have.

I am sincerely sorry for the long post. Never in my life did I think I would get so invested in an online forum that I would post something like this. Last thing I will add is that as a civilian I appreciate everyone that serves no matter in what capacity. Once you commit to serve everyone is writing a check to their country for everything up to and including their life. Not all are ever in danger but all have made that commitment. As the saying goes: Land of the free because of the brave.

Please carry on now, rant over.
