ran e-40 in the family truckster (van) 2 tanks now lot's of power and 17-18 mpg lots of hills and wind or it would be up to that 25 mark. ethanol rocks just stay away from that weaksauce 10%
Are you kidding?
Yes ethanol is high octane but it takes a whole lot more of it to fuel a car vs straight gas.
Ask anyone running e85 how much more fuel they go thru?
How about the corrosive properties?
How about the fact that it turns into slime in carburetors in under a month?
If you go from gas to ethanol you need more fuel to run correctly.....it is proven over and over. ( if your fuel injection is setup to make those changes fine but if its not than your going to be running lean).
^ yep, I'm promoting clean air and cheap octane but if your not educated you may sound like ^
...and that about sums it up! Educated you say? I think you mean YOU'RE.
I find 91 nowhere in sight. Just 87, 89, 93. But I still mix my special brew of 91 by a little alchemy. Takes a bit longer at the pump though, and I bet people are wondering what I am doing.91 , or 93 if i can find it
