Does anybody know if the front tow hooks are the same as the rears? Not sure if the make different ones for the back. I can't seem to find any info on that.
rear ones are welded to the hitch

Those will bend under a real load. Steel is way stronger than aluminum (even 6061). If those were 3" thick, maybe they would have the same strength as the stock steel hooks.Put the tow hooks on today. Sharpens up the front end a lot. I suggest taking off the skid plate. A lot easier that way. I used the original dust covers, not a perfect fit but worked.

I just had my R tow hooks (Ford Factory) installed today at the dealer. The lower seal does not/will not work with the new hooks, it bothered me enough I went to a dealer to look at what the R had, those seals are different. I have no idea if they would even work on the standard bumper. So I bought a set of R tow hooks off ebay to install on my 2024 801. I noticed some guys don't use the shroud after install. Seems to me that shroud is for aero purposes...So I want to put it back on. However, It looks like the one they sent off eBay is a little different than what is on my truck. Make sense given the different design of the hooks. So I will report back what I find when I do the install.
Anyone else walk this road?
So the seals they sent with the new hooks are different. I can tell that much. It looks like the just slide over the hook and tuck behind the bumper. I hadn't thought if they were bumper specific or not. Hmmm. I don't want to do the swap if I can't get the seal back in.
