I assume you use it - but for others that aren't aware - the gasbuddy app lets you know the lowest fuel prices in your area based on your phone's gps etc.

Also for folks looking for ethanol free fuel - the app called puregas helps you locate it.

Have both and use them regularly!

That article is funny . They dance around the mpg issue with some subjective anecdotes, and go back to trying to lure people in with talk of more power. It's true that more power can be made in some cases, however at the end of the day ethanol has less BTU/gal than gasoline and as such your mpg will suffer. I'm all for supporting american farmers but let's not ignore the realities and trade off's of more ethanol. Ethanol attracts water as well and a tank of e30 that sits over time will absorb more water than e10 and significantly more than straight gasoline. Oh well. Some people are willing to accept these downsides to E30 in an effort to support american farmers and I can respect that, but it's not available in most areas, and the downsides don't outweigh the pluses in my estimation. I hope the folks that run it have good experiences.

all that was hype from a few that are afraid. we have been using e-30 in non flex for over 10 years never once have we had a problem. also I get 12-13 average mpg I've never been under 10 and my all time high was 25 mpg. yes driving slow flat ground no wind.

e-30 rocks

Most of that anti ethanol propaganda is created by big oil. What do you know... we can GROW our own fuel and not have to use fossil fuels??? Yeah ethanol makes exxon nervous

E85 rocks, especially in a "tuned for" turbo engine. Would be ~100hp min more in the 17 raptor

E30 i have never seen in socal so have never used

E10 blows ass. I think the little bit of alcohol draws more water than than e85. My race car uses only e85 and i dont drive it that often and i never have problems and it sits for months at a time. E10 clogs up shit in a few weeks of sitting

Pure gasoline with no ethanol WILL give you better mileage and it is worth it to pay the extra money. And definitely better to run it in anything with a carburetor or for that matter anything that sits for any period of time (mowers, motos, etc)

I know a little bit about that...I ran 60,000 miles on 100% biodiesel in my prior jetta tdi. Cool to help support the us and environment...however everything including E85 has a trade off. The e10 definitely draws a lot of water. I run it in my boat when I know I'm going to blow through the tank during a week of offshore fishing or the like, but when it's time to be put away, I only use non ethanol. The non ethanol in my area is only 89 or 90 octane unfortunately unless you want to go to the racetrack and pay insane prices.

I'm thinking the 90 ethanol free will suit the raptor nicely...it's either that or 93 octane e10. Hard to decide if the added performance of the higher octane or the added btu from non ethanol is a bigger factor.

Where did you get this from?

A buddy works at a refinery. They have knock engines that run constantly to test the fuel they make. The ones using regular are a fowled up mess , the ones running premium are fine.

They use e-10 to make the crap 85 octane 87 octane the more ethanol you put in the better it is why not use e-30 to help make the Dino fuel last. Keep the air clean and add power

Yes I agree . I was just tail twisting. Burn good fuel and you do not need the additives. Cannot get anything but e10 so I am burning premium. Plus you need that piece of plastic that the girls use snowmobiling to add additive to tank
