I have a question. Is your suspension stock? Also, did this happen with their newer hangers or older? I know they had some issues in the past but redesigned the hangers, etc to fix whatever issues came up. Also, I ask about the suspension because if it has been modified from stock for longer travel off road then it would mean that any brand of catback exiting out behind the rear tire would have the same problem?
This was with the new rear hanger .. The old hanger broke once and they replaced it that was with stock rear springs...At that point I didn't realize there was an interference issue. It was chalked up to a bad weld (wrong). The second old bracket became cracked and I had not even realized it till another member told me he was having problems and asked me if I new anything about it...He was actually the one who got SW to redesign the rear bracket. But this still is not the whole problem....
The problem is when the truck is drooped out and you are sideways the rear end will move side to side under the truck and hit the pipe. A hit or 2 is not really a big deal but when it continuis to hit because you are using your truck "correctly LOL" it will start to fatigue things and thats why they fail..This is more of a long term hard use problem.
The pipes are just designed to run to close to the spring pack..
If you jack your truck up and let the rearend droop out it looks like there is room. But if you start thinking about the rearend moving side to side you will see what I mean..
