The camera did not want to pic up the color in direct sunlight, but to the eye its pretty clear there's a different color in there from just black

Not 100% sold on this for some reason, but I'm 100% sure its by far better than orange.

that looks incredible on your ****** J. how does it match?? it looks 95% there from the pics. you could try clear coating it and the shine may change the color a bit.

Hmm I wonder if swapping out the orange bulbs in the headlight assembly might help. Our manual calls out 3157NA (NA = natural amber) for the turns. I wonder if we can just swap in a 3157, sans the NA...

Right now there's no clear over it. I agree it needs to be darkened, just a hair. Was thinking I might hit it with some semigloss? We'll see. I might try swapping the bulbs before making any other changes. I have a feeling they're what's bothering me now about the 'look'. Now that the orange is not sticking out like a sore thumb, my eye falls to those turn signals...
