i love it, looks like something from the Transformers. I may stick with this or go clear if I can find the right reflectors on eBay or something.

Gotta hand it to ya Bird, it looks great. I am still looking into EL tape... but this is by far the second best looking IMO.

yeah I saw that mod write up, it involves tearing apart your door panels tho and after breaking 1000 clips on previous cars taking door panels off it's not something I want to risk on the BEAST. would be cool tho.

What kind of primer did you use on your inserts?
Did you scuff up the plastic with a scotch pad first?

I used Rust o Leum industrial grey primer(it's what gave me the idea to begin with). I wet sanded them first with 400 grit which gave them a nice consistent haze, not scratches. I wet sand since i do 6-8 light mist coats 30 seconds apart when i spray paint to get a nice, thin flexible and consistent finish. the clear coat is what i go heavier with since it's the protection and the base is just the color i don't want it too thick to fish eye or orange peel(or drip, obviously.)

Hey that looks pretty cool, kind of stealth like man. Are you trying not to use the reflectors? or Are you just trying to get rid of the color all together? Rde would look cool also.

just trying to get rid of color, especially orange and white. i even spray painted my highway transponder black and tucked it behind the F-150 decal on the windshield.
