Just wondering, I have lived at about 4,500 all my life so I find it interesting when people talk about "high elevation ".

3600 ain't to bad, I believe the highest point in Florida is under 500 ft (might be under 200 ft).

On the drive from Fort Mtn to Black Rock we did drive across GA-180 which is about 4,700ft elevation at its highest point. That wasn't as bad as driving through Black Rock though.

The North Georgia mountains are different than a lot of other places I've been. Elevation doesn't really mean as much here. You can go up to 4,000ft and it not be near as bad as another mountain that is only 2,500ft.
