I had fun with mine in the snow on an early morning Thanksgiving day drive, 250 miles total started out as a heavy rain. Roads were like the photo for 80 miles, undisturbed snow on the road was 14-20 inches on the road. I had fun driving it but my fuel mileage went to shit, more than normal. Not that I care about MPG very much.

Those Nokians are so L E G I T.... I'm having a set installed on my inbound Turbomac HD's for winter travels out to ski resorts and backcountry adventures like yours.

This is my first season with a dedicated winter tire. The Nokians are great on snow and ice.

How do the studded tires work when the roads are clear? Thanks
Dry or icy or plowed or mix. They are great for winter time driving, on dry pavement although you can hear the clicking on pavement and it requires a bit of control when accelerating as you wouldn’t want to spin the tires too much and rip the studs out. The control on ice is a lot better stopping and maneuvering around is a lot better than the BFG KO2 or a winter non-studded tire for the conditions I’m in.... in my opinion. I realize that comparison is not apples to apples.
