I have a 2018 Raptor with 70K miles on it. I tow a boat which is 4500lbs on a double axle 23 foot trailer. The trailer uses surge braking and not electric.
I looking to refresh everything, along with help the Raptor tow better. Currently, it really bounces from bumps. I would love to stop that. I am certain my rear springs are worn out, as they sit near flat now. Even when empty, I have a Ridgelander hard top cap with racks, and supports for kayaks and bikes. Empty I’m certain my bed is 400lbs extra.
What are you thoughts from experience? I don’t mind having the truck wind up a taller, but not by much. Denver +3HD seem to be popular for the ride height I need with the 450lbs extra carry capacity. I’m not sure what springs to go with up front to keep normal height. I like the raked look when the back sit a bit higher.
Lastly, would it be foolish for me to simply replace the OEM with OEM, or is there a far better choice? It’s a pavement Princess so I don’t need wild offroad setups.
Thank you!
