Can you do my truck next?

With the AMSOIL, did you have to clean/prep area before spraying it on?
Lol - yeah $50/hr hahaha

I pressure washed the undercarriage pretty good @ a car wash bay couple days prior, then took some rags & soapy warm water wiper everything down (didn’t soak it- just enough to get residual dirt off) then waited a bit for it to air dry & wiped any wet spots w/ dry rags & then did a quick blow down w/ compressed air. There was plenty of breeze too.

I hit up the diff/axles w/ wire brush & sandpaper then wiped down the residual dust/rust w/ tack cloth. Protected shocks/wheels w/ cut up paper grocery bags & drop cloths & sprayed the rustoleum.

Only thing I protected were the insides of wheels & shocks & lower A-arms when I sprayed the Amsoil- unless you’re 6+ beers deep you shouldn’t have a problem getting onto exterior paint/door panels, I got a little overspray on the wheel wells but wiped it up.

Also- found out the Amsoil HDMP is AWESOME @ cleaning/polishing the black exhaust tips & recovery hooks- sprayed a rag down w/ the Amsoil & wiped me down like I was using metal polish- check it out!

Lastly- when everything else was done I hit the shocks up w/ automotive clear coat to keep em from getting pitted/oxidized badly. I didn’t really care about overspray w/ that stuff

That was a bit of work but it looks great.

Thanks again.

Started to install the Baja Design S2 rear lights and after I mounted them, took them right off. Don’t love the look, too close to the exhaust and def takes away from the dual exhaust look. a9d7fb60d62d07f97decab7bbd3d098a.jpg

Gonna flush mount them in the bumper instead? Kinda wish I thought of that before but I’m still very happy with mine in the place where yours are

... that does raise a question tho... do larger exhaust tips interfere with the S2s mounted next to the exhaust pipes like it was shown in the pics ??

Not sure what I’m going to do but I can’t see myself adding them there.
