XL80s (along with the other lights) have shipped, but not here yet... Went ahead and installed the SDHQ brackets:

These things are money baby...very solid mount!

Pro tip: remove the masking tape before snugging everything down... DAMHIK. :rolleyes:

Also, the rubber trim around the cowl cover halves WILL fit around the mounts without trimming...just be patient, and work it around the bracket.

Also, another unplanned bit of maintenance as I was finishing up...dropped a wrench down inside the fender. So I got to partially remove my fender flares and pop out the bottom of the fender liner to get to the wrench. Bonus was that I got to clear out all the leaves and debris that accumulates there; something I typically do once a year on all my cars anyway.

Went ahead and cleaned out both sides... So the dropped wrench was a bit of inadvertant excellence I suppose!

Changed the break-in oil and filter. Replaced the drain plug with the Fumoto valve with the 3/8 nipple so the next oil change should be easier.
