Nailed it... I have the Recon 10.5k which we hooked up to the fence and was just about out when the rope snapped. I have an ADD bumper and the rope frayed on the backside of the plate where the fairhead bolts to.

So fix either cut out the plate in the bumper... Or what I'll probably do is since I was looking at Factor 55 before this, double up the fairheads one in the front and one on the back.

That would work with the double fair lead. You really got to watch those sharp edges or any edge for that matter.

How much rope broke? You could leave just that small amount on the drum and make a winch extension with the remaining amount. The smaller amount on the drum means it will be a stronger pull.

In any case check out www.masterpull. com for winch line and extensions.

They're stupid expensive. The only wheels I've found to fit those brakes and those and HRE which are twice as expensive. I might end up going to a smaller brake kit. Lol

They look great though, big brakes are always good though!

Agreed. Baer has a smaller kit with a 14" rotor that fits method in a 17" and a bunch of other brands. Maybe something down the road but I'm happy for now. Haha

Went out alone and ran up some of the power line hills. Came across a jeep and they tried following me. Needless to say my strap got a little experience when they got into deep sand
