ohhhh jeeze, i'm surprised you got it off over the cap. The first time i had my shocks rebuilt i cut the ring off so i could clean them up, same as you and i bought new retaining rings. When i sent the shocks out to get rebuilt, i asked them to install the new ring. Well, they didn't and i had a hell of a time getting it back on. nearly impossible but with some locking pliers, lots of sweat and swearing, i managed to get it back on over the bottom eyelet, but not without scratching up my nice refinished shocks.

I can't say that i've never forgotten to put the perch on before closing up a shock after rebuilding though. Nothing better than having to discharge it, pull the cap, put the perch on and charge it again.

So i messed up and took the retainer ring off the front shock and cant get it back on. Just wanted to clean up the bit of corrosion. Oops

Uh oh sounds like you just have to get the Icon stage 4 kit.

Ole postman dropped off another pair of recovery boards. After the rainfall a few days ago that turned my works dirt lot into a proper mud pit, I felt like it was a justifiable excuse.

Same here. Year and a half with that truck. Hardest decision was letting it go in favor of practicality and towing for me going off to college and 6 days later it’s crushed
