I’ve been tempted to do red behind the SVT vents but that plastic is 12 years old so removing will probably require replacing.

Should be ok, they pop off pretty easy. Need a thin pry bar, pull gently from the cab side (away from the front of truck).

no no, mid dumps are super cool leave it that way. Lol. I was gonna have it angled bit more with a tip sticking out before the tire. Its definitely a bit grumbly. I need to add some sound deadening mats to the floor i think. I can kinda feel the vibrations.

Didn't have to replace mine. I did coat them with 3-4 coats of a black dye. I hit all of my exterior trim with it, hood vents, door handles, back of mirrors, etc.

They pull out really easy by hand, no special tools needed.
Just grab both fins and gently wiggle it out.
If you have the plastic door trim removal kit, use that.
