What did u do to your raptor today?

Changed the plugs, a little time consuming for sure but I have had worse. I start it up afterwards and I hear a ticking sound on the drivers side, after seeing a you tube video I check the COP's with the garage darkened, sure enough the DS firewall COP is sparking to the fuel rail, took it off and the parts seem fine except for that little fuse looking thing on top of the spring (corroded), ordered a boot kit we will see if that fixes it.

How did you know it was time to replace ball joint?

Chasing clunks in the frontend; last year jacked it up and long prybar under the tire indicated play in them, replaced factory lower balljoints (just over 150k miles) with greasable Moogs. Worked great for a couple weeks then they started clunking, greased them and it would go away for a week or two, repeat, and after a year of that I went back with Motorcraft balljoints. Much better now.

Strange...I know moog isn't what it used to be but to start clunking that fast is unusual. Especially since they might be the OEM manufacturer of the Motorcrafts.

Installed the classic tailgate assist. As always, shooting for an OEM type installation. Had no desire to deal with the nutsert issues in the oblong hole, so I drilled my own hole and used the nutsert as it is intended. Also wet sanded off the very loud DeeZee logo (sorry DeeZee).

Did the same thing by drilling a separate hole.

Got some 2018 beadlocks for raptor 2 so i can tell them apart[emoji23]
One thing i learned though is the beauty rings and actual beadlock rings are interchangeable between the gen 1 and 2 beadlock
Ended up putting the original rings on however
