Lazy bastards.

Actually I honestly don't think in this situation, it was lazy. Just not working smart. I asked to have all my wheels balanced this time and turn the rotors because I've been having some vibration and when braking.

I think they got the wheels mixed up and forgot where they were to rotate them back correctly. I told the service advisor that perhaps they should mark the tires before starting so no matter what happens they know how to rotate them when putting back on. I mean I marked them, they can too. Service advisor isn't the guy doing the work and he just shook his head and couldn't believe it. He is really cool though and was the guy that was going to replace the LCA and he didn't care one bit about the mods on the truck. I'll still be going back to this dealer, no doubt.

I finally inistalled my PDP mud flaps. I've had them for over a year and was not sure I wanted to put them on. I liked the clean look of not having them. We are going on a road trip that will involve some gravel roads so I figured it was time to put them on. So far, I'm OK with how they look.

I also changed the oil and rotated the tires (the correct way!).

No need to wipe it down but protect it with something. I use two different products. Adams VRT worked in real well with a foam detailing block about twice a month. In between I use Chemicals Guys matte detailer spray which is a fantastic product with great UV protection. I do the same treatment to all the graphics as well.

I've been through more touchless car washes than I can remember (harsh chemicals) and the cover (and truck in general) looks like new. Testament to various Adams and CG products.

Awesome, thank you so much!

Awesome, thank you so much!

Just snapped a pic this morning so you can see the results. Cover is about 2 years old.

Was going to look for trails down past Monterey on old cost road but ended up driving 200miles with the wife for lunch...

We did the Old Coast Road back in May. It's a nice 13 mile drive. Lots of blind corners so take it slowly. We took the road from the south and headed north and saw more people/cars on the road closer to Bixby Bridge.

It's actually the other way around. The backs go straight to the front and the fronts cross going to the back. I've been marking my tires before going in because they screw it up every single time. They always just want to go backs to front and fronts to back, no crossing. Even though their very own Ford manual tells you otherwise, most dealers and service advisors have no clue on the raptor. I even opened up the raptor supplement manual to the rotate page and put it on the dash for the tech to see how to rotate. They still screwed it up.

So I mark my tires like this:
Front
1 2
3 4
Rear

When done right, it will look like this:
Front
3 4
2 1
Rear

Today when I picked it up, they rotated it like this:
Front
3 1
2 4
Rear

Yep, tire 4 never moved...

Twice now the dealer rotated the tires when I said don't rotate. Both times they had to put the tires back where they found them.

The 2nd time this happened I stopped the tech and asked how he rotated the tires... he said front to back same side. So not only did the tech not read the work worker correctly he didn't rotate the tires as specified in the manual...

Installed my new running board extensions from @OFF-ROAD PERFORMANCE. Joshua was great to work with - responded to order, kept me updated with the progress and provided me shipping info.

Took about 20 minutes to install both sides (even without instructions - lol). There is a nice little piece of straight metal underneath the actual extensions that will hold a small mud flap, as well. That will happen another day and hopefully help keep out some of the mud and grime that finds it's way up under the running boards......

Thanks Joshua!!!
