No, not at all.

I don't understand. You are saying that this device will reduce throttle lag even on top of a tune? I'm guessing it's one or the other, not a cumulative effect. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

The device is pure snake oil. All it does is change the pedal input sensor. So instead of the truck actually knowing how you are pressing the pedal this device has a map that it translates your input into a different output.

A tune is much better and safer.

Don't the tuners have a setting for this when you load the tune? I don't have a raptor tune, but my charger tune used to have a throttle advance setting to do the same thing as this device.

In the tuning they can make changes to the TB control and due so. Ford sets up the TB control for TQ limiting on the driveline.

This device tries to get around it but the reality is that it is still limited by the factory settings. It tries to do it by tricking the computer into thinking you are giving a different input with the pedal.

In my view that is the last thing I want. Some cheap ass device trying to fake my gas pedal input. What happens when the device fails and tells the computer you are going WOT and you actually only tapped the pedal. Or fails all together and no longer tells the computer you are touching the pedal at all when you need to accelerate.

This is just as bad as those devices that used to fake the IAT temp sensor into thinking it was colder to get advanced timing.

Regarding the pedal booster, I can agree with all the above comments and with a proper tune, throttle response can be improved etc. I am just giving it a try as I have a stock engine and was curious to see the effect. I don't have the same support and options with regards to the Raptor here in Australia. Driving now for 3 odd days with it fitted, what i am trying to describe is that it just gives you the feeling of more responsiveness. Makes the pedal more sensitive so to kick down or get off the line quicker, you don't have to mash the pedal. In effect it is like removing the lag from the human movement. I am happy with it and if I end up getting a tune etc I may remove it but having that perkier feeling is quite nice. After all it is a three and a half ton truck!

Feeling left out that I'm missing snowball, I went out and got stuck in some concrete snow up to the frame. Can't quite push thru it when its hard as a rock. Haha. it was about 2' deep here.

Other than that, the night run was awesome!

As per request of @Jimbo :p
