Ordered 4 new tires, they should be here in the next few days. Got my rings back from powder coat. I picked up a set of 4 used. The previous owner had them painted orange and it just didn't work on the white.

NOW the real question. Is there any members out there thay have and would sell me 7 to 10 ring bolts. There are a selection of the bolts that come with these rings that are trashed and or don't match...
I'd happily cover shipping and such I'm up here in the great white north. If anyone has some they wanna sell PM me please!

Well it was the wife's truck turn today. The cam on the both sides for the emergency brake were froze up I had to take the shoes off both sides. I didn't pull the axels. probably would have been easier if I had. I cleaned every thing up. hit the cam with some rattle can. Then grease after they dried..Might as well got me.. So rattle caned the the rest of the parts. LOL

i just finished replacing my transfer case an hour ago. turns out that was the problem and not my transmission. thank god for that. picked up a used one for $250. much better than the $6k for a transmission. few other small things needed as well, but at least my truck is running now
Do you happen to have a picture of how these heat shields mount up? I've already got the larger Pass side on, but can't remember how these 2 fit up & I can't find a diagram on the ALL DATA app.

Steering rack & sector shafts are off. The rack gets rebuilt locally (because I do NOT want to spend a hundy on shipping or gas), and the new shafts are ordered. I weighed the difference between spending another $400 and a couple of easy hours right now, or roll the dice on the lifespan left after 148xxx miles by 3 previous owners, (and whatever idiots they let drive it). It was all oil- and rust-free, and tight when removed.

The jack stands on the axel is ok? And jacking from the bottom of the diff?
If you are referring to @Gumby photos above, the jack is on a metal hitch step turned sideways in the hitch receiver and the jackstands are just under the axle as a safety precaution, not actually touching the axle. The angle of the photo makes it look like it was jacked on the diff, but it was not.
