That was a fun afternoon, learned all sorts of stuff. Still have the original periodic noise though but can now mimic it at will so we'll need to take it for a spin
Well, with Gumby hanging out the front widows while I drove, (70 mph) I was able to reproduce the “noise”. However, I thought it was in the right rear but it was actually coming from the right front. A quick switch to 4high and ut went away. Thinking now it may be the IWE?

From my wealth of quickly gained knowledge I’d say that’s the culprit. I’ve been debating on deleting it all together due to the complexity of it all

Check that inner bearing the CV axle is riding on..
