I'm just glad that dropping the trans only chipped the case. I handed over $2500 for a rebuild 2hrs before that.

Picked up a Badlands Offroad Jack. Not completely planned, but not a total spur of the moment thing. Looks to be pretty stout. For half the cost of the Pro Eagle, I thought I'd roll the dice.

Dropped off at buddies shop. He has 3 Ford performance mechanics on his staff to maintain his collection of 38 mustangs. They are going to revamp the 171k mileage truck.

Right. Hopefully the techs dont have any issues today. I dropped it at our toyota part of the dealership. They have the nicer shop and equipment.

Might be the right choice! My experience with the local Ford dealership where I live is so bad I would rather take my truck to a Yugo dealership.

Oh yeah it very well could be, I know from my experience is that except for one place I lived I tried at least 2 dealerships before I found the place I was comfortable with taking my truck to. I think in Virginia I actually got to 4 dealers before I was happy with the service... might have been 3. Once I got to California I got recommended a place about 50 minutes away from where I live, went once, it was okay, decided the place 15 minutes away was good enough.
