The trans pan is 26" above the floor (with the bendpak lift), so a standard trans jack won't reach it. but welding the trans wheel tabs to some 3" square tubing, and bolting that to a carpet dolly; makes a taller, more stable base for removing the 215lb 6R80 this coming week. I hope.

Umm i may have to order new mirror blinkers. I believe the “salt” got in there and messed something up. One only half blinks LOL
Main reason I did the blinker on mine. I dunno why only half of the driver side worked. Got rid of the awful amber marker on the outside while I was at it. About $100 mod, well spent. I did l.e.d. puddle lights while I had the mirror gutted

There's a little grease pack ford sells to splo oge between the splines to eliminate that drive shaft clunk. As long as it's apart.
i used high temp grease. the spicer u joints i got had some grease in them already, but i did add more. theres never too much lube

That "clunk" can be frightening when you first hear it.
i had a vibration at 50mph. didnt know what it was. checked everything. finally found it was the front u joint. when i pulled it out, it was so loose even @Oldfart cound have put his pee pee in there.

Yeah thats what i did. I think its a loose wire or connector on the drivers mirror inside led. I also need to check the door jamb wires since the puddle light flickers
