Finally got the fogs mounted. Whod a thought el cheapo brackets would work vs the baja ones. Definitely a quality difference but whatever at this point. Now just need to wait till night and get the alignment done. Lol.
I've always maintained that cheapo metal products vs fancy products is almost always a wash. For example I got skid plates on the cheap and they've worked swimmingly. Not to go on a tangent, but even if you never go offroad, upgrade your transfer case skid...

Anyways, the real difference to me lies on products like lights. Yes you can go cheap and they may work fine, but spending a little bit more for even a low end name brand always seems worth it.

Warshed and wet mirror finish to get me thru the monsoon season that started last weekend. Time for some mudding!

These freaking Hankooks are lasting forever. 32K miles on them and plenty left. No complaints whatsoever besides not being able to itch the desire for 37s

I wouldn't say it's trash but it's super flimsy. For 185 bucks you can upgrade to something much better. The stock one I could flex by hand. For me, especially when I lived out east, lot of my trails were more rocky and I didnt want a weird shaped rock to gouge the t-case or on the few spots I could open it up to send a rock into it.

I get it, not every light bar needs to be a 1200 dollars KC bar. Cheap Chinesium would have been all I used back when I was young and cash was tight. I like visionX these days.

I finished both front shock rebuilds tonight. The fluid that came out of the rears looked used but not bad. One of the front shocks oil looked about the same as the rears...but the other front was dirty. A black/green color vs the dark ATF red of the others. Internal parts all looks the same condition as the others. Didn't measure the amount of oil but I'm sure it was low. The shocks showed no signs of leakage and all were still charged.
Oh well, they should be good now. Just need the time to put them in.
