I’m going to the dealership to pick up my truck after throwing a dash light. It’s my first dough headed move over filling the bastard and drowning the sensor. At least the extended warranty covered the right rear window in op issue. Hard not to want to overfill a first year 6.2 lol
never happened on any of my previous F150’s but neither did the fuel door pin and spring thing either but here I yonder like many before …
still love my truck at almost 1000 miles !
This forum has been a great asset to learn from
Not quite sure what you're stating here?
But if it relates to fueling up, then ok.
First, there isn't any sensor at the auto spring flap.
Having said that....
The EVAP system sensor will tell PCM that there is an air leak somewhere,
that does prevent the tank from becoming negative pressure.
Whether from the fill flap or elsewhere. (Common cause is the auto fill flap)
Keep in mind that the Raptor has a closed non loop fuel system.
Note: It is a common issue when the auto fill flap fails.
Easy fix, is to clean the auto fill flap,
by spraying carburetor cleaner and using the plastic fill tube adapter supplied in the Raptor
and inserting it in and out several times.
You guys with dirty minds stop right here. LOL
From 12 years of being on the forum and owning a Gen 1: (doesn't really matter what gen, actually)
Always turn off the ignition before fueling!!!
I don't care how hot or cold it is outside.
NEVER PRESS THE GAS PUMP HANDLE ONCE IT CLICKED OFF!!!!!!!!!
All you will see is the fuel drop to the floor from the hole in the upper filler tube.
