Yeah, that's not recent oil filter so I don't think the dealer did an oil change before resale. Best thing would be to do a full list of fluid changes, so then you know when everything has been done. You don't have to do it all at once but it's cheap insurance!
Yup. Im slowly working on it. Lol.

Wow what a mess. lol I will have to do mine at next oil change. I switched to that Wix filter for synthetic oil and now I’m curious what the difference between a regular filter and the new one will look like. Although I don’t plan on making a mess like that in my garage, lol.
The wix filter better than motorcraft? Cause i went to the motorcraft one on this change.

I’m not sure, I’ve always have used Motorcraft filters, but I noticed the Wix offered a synthetic oil filter, so I thought why not since I use full synthetic (high mileage) oil. Time will tell if it’s worth twice the price of a traditional filter.

I have always use the Motorcraft filter and from what I remember they are rated a very good filter. I felt it was best to use them while under warranty so dealer couldn't blame any motor issues on a "non-Ford Filter".

The OEM Motorcraft oil filter is just ok.
But, if you want to get the best filtration, the Ford Racing or the Mobil 1 Extended Gold oil filters are the best.
When you have them in your hand you will know why, they weight twice the weight of regular ones.
