@BenBB pointed me to a thread that discussed other people having an issue with the cargo light working on the GJ mototrsports 3rd brake light setup, sure enough the issue was in the connections with the harness provided. Basically the connector was installed without the wire being stripped, so there is essentially no good connection.....pics of the wire to check and it all working.....

GJ motorsports 3rd brake light install, still cannot for the life of me get the clear cargo light working...

THAT is a legit piece of kit. I didn’t even know they existed.

Man that is crappy QC on GJ Motorsports! You think they would do a connection test on all light connections before sending out.

Yeah considering I can now confirm now 3 people with this problem. It was a simple fix thanks to @BenBB pointing me in the right direction, but I was about to start diagnosing all types of wiring scenarios which could have cost me a lot of wasted time.

Added some fuel injector cleaner before I topped it up with fuel.

Got some new hids put in from @4x4TruckLEDs.com and they look great, and i got a piece of candy too. unfortunately one of the little screws fell into the housing and i spent the next 10 mins trying to shake it out lol.

also did the fuze 27/70 swap while i was already under there and put the resistors on to stop the hyper flash on my switchback blinkers.

Edit: just finished the pdp flaps install also lol

Can you take a night shot at some point, any brighter, what Kelvin did you go with?...I bought some HID bulbs from amazon awhile ago from marsauto, 6000k, always felt they werent that great though.
