I was looking for a rattle in the door so I figured while I was there lets give some Dynamat a try... first time and I'm pretty sure I used more than I had to.

Good news is the stupid rattle is still there! I was hearing a buzz in the door and it turns out to be the side-view mirror housing. The three bolts are tight so it's not loose. The side-view mirror is tight. It's the housing :(

Installed the upper and lower shock mounts because I have ******* icants that apparently some individuals give shit about on the left coast. Also installed the shock security washers. Couldn't install them on the top mount due to the RXT anti-wobble bracket. Found out after we got things apart that the bolts on the shocks were not long enough so had to make a late night emergency run to Lowes and all they had was 8.8 class bolts and nuts, ugh!! Looking now for some 10.9's so I can do it all over again. Just great...
Side note: these shock reinforcement mounts are a major PITA to install.

Brakes still felt spongy after a fluid flush so did more bleeding and they feel a lot better.

Had a little filament issue on the passenger side. Might be giving LGE/CTS a ring.

It's good to know one needs longer bolts when using the shock gussets. Or do you think it is a combination of the security washer and the shock reinforcement mount?

Dropped my truck off at the dealer to get an alignment and check the torque on my front lower shock bolts since im still getting a clunk after the rebuilds at 9am. Called at 3pm to see if it was going to be done today and they told me that they were just finishing it up and going to be taking it on a test drive real quick and told me to give them 30-45 minutes. get a call at 3:50 that the truck was done and i could pick it up and of course i was at work until 6:00.

Wife got her explorer sport delivered though and she loves the damn thing. You know damn well first thing she did was switch the ambient lighting to purple. lol

The top bolt on the RXT has a special nut that another smaller bolt screws into the other side of it to hold the anti-wobble bracket so you have to have a perfectly sized bolt. Since we were changing it out, I decided to put a washer on each side too but even without washers the original bolt was still too short, only a few threads were showing. The icon one was 60mm and we used a 70mm

As you see the security washer would be useless on the top because of the oversized nut. The heads of the factory bolt on the bottom is smaller and wouldn't fit the security washer correctly to torque it. So we replaced those bolts with ones with bigger head to fit in the security washer. We used a 80mm there. They both were M12 - 1.75. I am concerned with the strength of these at 8.8 classe with the two events I am doing next month. If you were me, would you change these out with 10.9 asap?
