2 months, holy crap. After mine starts turning grey and brown I want to wash the salt and crap off!! That is usually after a couple weeks or so at most. Only good thing is they have a really good salt to sand ratio up here so there is only a small amount of salt to get off nowadays. Used to be really bad and your dark vehicles were turning white in the winter from all the salt.

I hope you installed that antenna at least 18"'s from the back light. It needs at least 18" for a proper ground plane to get the 3dB boost

External speaker for the ICOM? Is the sound muffled much with the console closed?
