Question is... why doont u just go to the professional?
maybe the guys who installed the suspension. get one in and go for a test drive. why are you even thinking u'll find answers here. go get it inspected.
Because he wants to show off what a big boy, hardcore, push his truck like no one else, money to burn, off-roader he is with his 40psi.

Rule #1 - check the bolt torque
Rule #2 - drop psi

But hardcore off-roaders like him know better and he doesn't like hearing the truth or can't face it, he can pop a pamperin and take a nap.

lol..."push his truck like no one else" and he posts dirt crawling pic's like he afraid to get it dirty or something.

Naw.

dude went to some shop and talked to a guy about his truck, that neither of them designed, engineered or built, about aftermarket parts that neither of them, designed engineered built Or tested as extensively as ford did, about what upgrades he could get based on other peoples experiences and then had someone who’s mechanical skills would be unknown install said parts without checking the install and then takes said “upgrade truck” with mall crawling wheels and 40psi to “run hard” without checking bolts BUT blames the truck when everything that makes the raptor awesome was removed? All that was left to change was the engine.

They saw this dummy and his checkbook a mile away. Surprised they didn’t charge him for special bolts.

Hey guys. Totally don't mean to hi-jack this thread AT ALL (looks like I am late to the party). lol. Anyways, took the rig offroad this weekend in my area. Just a simple trail nothing crazy in the woods with rocks. After we were done I did notice that my steering was off a little to the left but drives straight on the road. I understand these trucks don't have alignment cams (and no, I didn't air down like I usually do). Didn't hit anything crazy, either. I have looked at several trucks of guys using these off-road that don't have alignment cams from SPC 86252 or the cam-pocket holders. Are the guys using their trucks in Baja just have the stock control arm bolts and zero upgrades here?

Truck has 12k miles on it. Love it every day. Would love to hear what you are all running. Going to be hanging heads tomorrow to see what the numbers look like.

1) Should I upgrade to the 86252 SPC adjustable cams?
2) Or just realign and torque bolts to factory high spec and align truck?

Don't want to have to re-align every time I hit the dirt if that makes sense?

Cheers

Get the cams if you offroad lots, you don't have to hit anything hard to knock out the lca bolts out of alignment, learned that my first time offroad. You can take a chance for sure, 9 times out of 10 the red stripe will still be in the center of the steering wheel, but that one time, it will be to the 10 or 2 position. Good luck.

Roger that 10:4. Could anyone argue that by putting in the HD cams that the energy from impacts will go into the steering rack/other components and create more issues in the long run? I understand that there a TON of variables here depending on driver and terrain. I am a firm believer if the truck was built without cams from factory and the truck was tested then the cams technically shouldn't be needed? Having the cams makes total sense though but there is a difference in opinions out there I am seeing.

Thanks for the direction Corona.

The steering rack will only be affected if you go larger tie rods, as they will not bend and the energy goes into rack itself. Others will check in here, always good to take a poll and see which way you want to go. Have fun out there.

Ok Susan. You clearly know it all.

Not hating. just pointing out the obvious. IF you indeed push like you say you do, you off road a lot, yet, you didn't do research and didn't get the right parts or do a post upgrade bolt check and your first reaction is to blame the truck.

I am pretty sure it might not be the situation here and its not install related.
I do run a stage 4 icon kit, which i regularly check on, but i do get off alignment sometimes when hitting a whole, ditch and even in some cases washes.
And I do run a full tire pressure when doing that.
I cant recall I got off alignment when I had my OEM shocks but 90% I had this issue and wanted A Cam kit to sort it out.
