I've had my truck for a few days now. On a few occasions when slowing down to a stop, the truck ****** when just about stopped (< 10mph). It was in normal mode.

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this or knows if I should have it looked at.

Not sure what the censored word is above, but based on the title of your post, it sounds like an abrupt downshift. I get this all the time in Sport mode, but never in Normal mode.

The transmission needs to downshift proportionally to the rate at which you slow down so it can get back into 1st gear for takeoff. If you stop quickly, you’ll feel the downshifts, which is normal.

Hmm... I didn't think I was slowing down too quickly, but I'll pay more attention to see if it's that. I never felt it in my 2017 F-150.

My transmission does a few strange things when shifting up and down. I have had quite a few low speed downshifts where it feels about like I've been rear ended. It has only happened 2 or 3 times on the road, but probably 10 times or more while I'm driving down my long driveway and right before coming to a stop. So at the end of a half mile of 10-15mph and as I either coast to a slowdown or apply the brakes before I turn into my parking space. Dealership wasn't able to replicate the issue.

The transmission also has a stall or hesitation accelerating as it enters 3rd gear, it's like a series of 3 blips that you can hear through the exhaust. My foot stays on the pedal at the same pressure, but the acceleration doesn't continue smoothly for a second or so and then picks back up and continues with the acceleration. Almost as if I am feathering the throttle. On the drive home from the dealership after they told me everything was normal, as I entered the freeway along the on-ramp I accelerated fairly aggressively and as it shifted into 3rd gear the acceleration completely fell off and the engine revved around 5k and forward momentum stalled for just a second, but at that rate of acceleration, if felt substantial. I was so pissed off.

I think they are both programming related, but my dealership doesn't seem interested in acknowledging them yet.

The downshifting issue sounds similar to mine. I haven't noticed anything while accelerating. I'm going to give mine a bit more time for the break-in period and have a local dealer check it out if it persists.

It should definitely have fault codes after an event like that. Even if the DTCs clear before you get it to the dealer, they should have still transferred to the cloud so the tech can retrieve them and see what kind of fault occurred. Possibly a sticking valve in the main control.

This happened to me today for the first time - was going pretty slow in my neighborhood and slowing down, and it happened. Definitely more jarring than a normal downshift. Something not good going on there.

FWIW. This happens on occasion to my 2020 Gen2. I have 25k and no issues. When it happens, it always occurs when I was already going slowly (residential)
