Weird A/C Odor...plus an update!

They are right at the base of your windshield. Can’t miss it.

I've had the same issue with the musky smell coming out the air vents. I replaced the stock cabin filter with a cabin filter infused with charcoal. The smell has never came back. Easily to find on line.

Did same, had no effect on vinegar/mold smell. It's in the AC/the evaporator way past the cabin filter.

I believe this. I pulled out the filter and sprayed coil cleaner into the filter cover hole with fan on high. No smells in a week and a half, filter is sitting here on my desk.
