they dont replace just the broken piece. they replace the whole assembly. ford denied my claim on my truck. i had to go through insurance. same as you, they claimed they never heard of the problem. i showed them multiple posts of people with this issue, but no luck. i honestly believe that this may be the last ford i buy. i like the fact they are willing to try new things and be pioneers for other manufacturers to follow suite, but the fact that they can not/will not service or warranty their vehicles when a problem arises is what annoys me. its a vehicle, i know there will always be issues no matter the manufacturer, but how its handled is what gives a company its reputation. i still have 4wd issues. its been an issue since i first bought the truck. now that i have had it in several times, parts replaced, etc, i know that now with over 70k miles im going to end up giving money out of my pocket to get it fixed. dealer always says they cant find the problem, or they arent willing, not sure which really. until i see better customer service/customer retention, i will stick to an auto manufacturer that is willing to help.
