Just left Ford and they are submitting it through the warranty and will let me know what they say in 24 hours. I went in and talked to the finance manager who knows me since I've bought over 30 trucks from him for my company and him and I sat down with the service manager to get him to submit it. He said that I should have told him who I was when I called. Lol ok. I told him I appreciate that but it shouldn't matter if I bought one vehicle or 50 from them the service should be the same. I think they're butt hurt because I didn't buy any of my Raptors from them lol. Hopefully Ford approves it without any issues. I let you guys know what happens. I'm thinking of shattering the other two windows so they all match until it replaced because it's irking me that it looks unsymmetrical lol. ******* OCD.
they dont replace just the broken piece. they replace the whole assembly. ford denied my claim on my truck. i had to go through insurance. same as you, they claimed they never heard of the problem. i showed them multiple posts of people with this issue, but no luck. i honestly believe that this may be the last ford i buy. i like the fact they are willing to try new things and be pioneers for other manufacturers to follow suite, but the fact that they can not/will not service or warranty their vehicles when a problem arises is what annoys me. its a vehicle, i know there will always be issues no matter the manufacturer, but how its handled is what gives a company its reputation. i still have 4wd issues. its been an issue since i first bought the truck. now that i have had it in several times, parts replaced, etc, i know that now with over 70k miles im going to end up giving money out of my pocket to get it fixed. dealer always says they cant find the problem, or they arent willing, not sure which really. until i see better customer service/customer retention, i will stick to an auto manufacturer that is willing to help.

So, you're just going to get out of the 4x4 world? Because you're not going to find another manufacturer that is EVER going to warranty another vehicle that you will have to mod-up to get it to this level. It is frustrating dealing with dealers sometimes, but I think it is an issue no matter what you get. People just don't give two ***** these days about the consumer. As consumers, we need to keep banging the BS drum until someone listens. Giving up is not an answer. I understand completely where you are coming from Noah, but you can't win shit if you quit. I for one am going to keep bitching until someone listens, as the rest of us must do. That's how you get shit done.

I'm sure there is someone on this forum that has someone they know who can get some face-time with somebody at Ford. Get a petition started or something that we can send to Ford with our concerns. As a group, I'm sure that we have some power as far as future sales with Ford - that's what they are interested in. You can't say you give up until you've tried everything in your power to win, and even then never say never.......

I've boycotted GM for nearly 30 years, worked for me. Same issue, crappy service and when you do all that bitching and even corporate basically tells you to fly a kite, **** them.

I've been a Ford owner since 2011 (previously own other brand trucks since 88') and if they treat me like shit (at a higher level) then I will do the same. So far I've been happy with Ford so I plan on getting a Ford again but not at the dealership that threw me under the bus, luckily I found a better one.

Don't give up with one dealer saying no. Try another...like i said in my other post, it took me 2 dealers and a message with Crystal to get it done, but it did get done. Second dealer sent in the pictures and Ford called me to ask what happened. I let them know, and they fixed it immediately. I'm sure you'll be taken care of.

Hey CBC, diid your slider gradually start slowing down before it finally quit? That's where I am now- takes about 30 seconds to close all the way and I'm reluctant to use it now for fear of it finally stopping altogether.
Mine was slow when I first got it, not enough grease on the track, has worked like a charm since. Put some grease on the track and see if it picks up speed.

well the current raptor is a great truck...... when it works..... the 2 issues i have, is that if i buy another ford and have to deal with the same level of garbage service, its not worth it for me. the second, is that im not one bit pleased with the 2017. and since everything is new on this model its going to take a few years to find all the bugs. and at this current rate, ford is not going to do much when those problems arise. if they advertise an offroad vehicle i normally assume 4wd is going to work. and we have had hundereds of issues with back windows shattering, but not one issue of being resolved. to top it off, when my truck was in for warranty work, i didnt even get a loaner vehicle most of the time. so i had to arrange for a ride when the dealership was over 30 minutes away from my house. and the issue has never been fixed. so to sum it up, i will keep my current truck for as long as it will run. after that, my business goes to whoever makes the best vehicle without treating customers like crap. and the first vehicle im going to give a chance is bowler. so i will remain in the offroad world. i have been here a long time, however in the rally side of things and dont plan on leaving anytime soon

Go see a psychologist and get him to say you're traumatized or some shit. That could be worth millions!!!

Then call me with that lighting order.........:ROFLJest:

Now that's a good idea, I can say I thought it was someone seeking revenge for putting them in jail and I need the money to relocate. Then I can use the extra money to buy a bunch a stuff from Jimbo for my trucks :ROFLJest::ROFLJest:

I know how you feel and totally agree it does suck but I've dealt with a bunch of different makes of vehicles and their ****** warranty service and Ford is any worse than the rest. I had issues with my M6 and BMW was even worse to deal with. It doesn't matter because you're a popular person on this forum and you're not allowed to stray from the Raptor, its in the fine print of the rules. Lol.

I'm confident it will be covered also but it's how much of a pain in the ass it's going to be is what I'm not sure of. Crystal has all my info so when Ford calls me today with their decision if it's not what I want to hear I'll contact her to get involved.
