Ya I thought this same thing in the beginning too but it grew on me. How many vehicles will you ever be able to experience using a front camera? Probably the only one. So worth it in my mind now

Guess you have never driven german. BMW's have cameras all around and have had them for a while. Many others have added the cameras now (Hell the new F150 will have side cam's as well). Ford just screwed up when they made it so the camera could not be activated at slow speeds for parking.

And I could spend just a few more dollars and buy a kenwood headunit with NAV and sync integration and get front and rear camera access as well as play movies (Something the 2013+ lost)

$450 to me is still a bit of a rip off. I am sure once the new 2015 is released the price will drop as demand will as well

I am tempted to get this, but I really only want it for the front cam but $450 for that functionality is way more than its worth to me at this point.

I only installed mine yesterday, but I can see that I'll use it daily for parking right up to the wall without hitting it. Also used it in a tight-ass ATM drive through, today. I know I'll use the rear cam to check on my boat trailer while towing this summer, and wife can now punch in nav address while we're moving. Watching video? Yeah, I will probably stream the news when I'm stuck in stop and go traffic on the way to the office to try it out, but doubt it's a feature that will see much use.

Mostly I wanted it to get some value out of the front cam which is otherwise useless to me.
