test drove a used 23 Raptor with 15000KM last week. Fell in love with ride. Honestly the best truck for handling and it made our ****** local roads with potholes and bumps feel like nothing.

I have a 2022 F250 Tremor with 55000KM. I bought it used and love it as well. The ride is obviously stiffer and the truck is much bigger . I live in a small city so it’s not a pain to daily. I also don’t put on a lot of annual KM, maybe 8000KM at most.

I tow a 7x23 ft 2200lb aluminum snowmobile trailer, with 2 snow machines and some gear. Trailer is about 4500lbs fully loaded with the sleds and sleigh etc. The trailer is 7 ft tall inside, so it’s quite tall. Also have a 2900lb steel trailer that I tow a side by side a few times a year. The side by side is left up at camp for the year usually. We sometimes bring it back and forth at the beginning and end of season. We use the truck quite a bit for getting up to camp. We ride about 70km of forest roads with washboards etc to get to our boat launch to our remote cabin. I think the raptor would make this ride more enjoyable as it gets quite annoying bouncing around in some spots. I tow maybe 10 times a year max, but we do bring quite a bit of gear up to camp. This would include coolers, fuel jugs, propane tanks, firewood, beer :D, etc. Worried maybe the Raptor will exceed payload. Family is just me and my wife and two small dogs. Truck is usually packed.

Am I better off sticking with my f250, or would the raptor be able to handle my use case?

My gut is telling me to stay with the 250 for payload and throw some fox 2.5s on the 250.

Life is short, try the Raptor for awhile. If you don’t like it go back to a superduty with E-Venture. I traded my ‘24 Raptor for a ‘24 tremor superduty and haven’t looked back yet. Both fun rigs that fit life a little differently. See what strikes the balance for you.
