What is someone going to steal? You are putting a deposit down and signing paperwork right? So how is others purchasing going to hurt your deal?

They haven't processed my deposit and I haven't signed anything yet. I'll share the dealer once I have confirmation that i'm good to go. I agree with you though, my local dealer who i've been loyal with routine services basically said they didn't want my business for anything less than 8k over msrp.

They received my email and called me, went over the process, necessary deposit. I still feel as if they weren't aware that every dealer around them was charging on average 5k above msrp.. but they sounded knowledgeable. I gave them my info and they will be processing my deposit tomorrow. I'm hesitant to share the dealer because I feel like I stumbled on a pot of gold and someone is going to steal it from me haha. It's in the Mid-Atlantic area though.

Don't be a ******* ****. Share the dealer. $1,100 isn't a pot of gold. $250-500 over is. They know what they have, they know what they're doing, and they're expecting you to tell all us trolls about it. No Ford dealer is that naive about this truck. Not even if you lived under a rock for the last 7 years.

So go on, share. No one is going to steal your prescious deposit for a slot on the list for a truck that doesn't even have order banks open for another 5 days, minimum.

Damn you really got your ******* in a bunch over this one... I said I would share the dealership once I got confirmation that my deposit was placed and I had a confirmed slot. Now, don't be a ******* **** going around demanding shit.

I agree, I think it's pretty reasonable to withhold your dealer at least until your order is placed, contract is signed, etc. Last thing you want is your dealer getting inundated with calls from superfans on the internet and suddenly find that your deposit has been returned or your order has been delayed. They do that shit all the time.

RC, do the legwork, there are literally thousands of dealers out there. ;) Acg did us all a favor by letting us know that these deals exist already which should help you negotiate a better price.

Also it's not like you're really going to benefit from his leaking one dealer so early. For the first few months they're only going to get a couple few allocations with each build date, at best, so you'd be on their wait list for awhile, in which time you could probably track down a dealer yourself with a similar or better offer.

Unlimited orders.. I honestly don't see how sharing could screw anything up. A dealer can place as many orders as they want, right? If I was Acg or another with a contact, I'd go back and say cut me a better deal and I'll try to help you get several more sales right now.
I don't have experience ordering vehicles which is why I was hoping I could follow someones elses steps or place they ordered from.

My ******* are completely fine. I just think it's funny you're nervous about letting other people know about your "pot of gold" when I'm not entirely sure you even know what you put a deposit down on. The order banks aren't open. The trucks information isn't out; price, anything. So unless this dealer knows something the rest of Ford doesn't, you literally gave them your money and will be signing documents to be on a fictional "list". Dealers can view the Raptor in their Dealer eBook but can not access it. So it's not like they can even option it out for you. It seems ludacris that you would even drop coin at this point. Way to little info out at this time. Like Stan said, unlimited orders. You can go to any dealer and order. Just spend a day and find the one that will give you the best deal. 4DR said his dealer will be charging 1% over invoice. Which is significantly better than $1,100 over. The Raptor would need to cost more than $110,000 for your dealer to beat his deal. Want my unneeded advice? Pull your deposit back and wait for more info and a better deal. You could probably talk to 4DR and get his dealer connection and already be $400-600 dollars better off.

First off, on a serious note I just want you to know how relieved I am that your ******* are in fact, fine.

I just think it's funny you're nervous about letting other people know about your "pot of gold" when I'm not entirely sure you even know what you put a deposit down on.
Ok maybe "Pot of Gold" was the wrong analogy but it was the best deal by a long shot from the 35 dealerships that I inquired on. I put a $500 deposit down to secure my place to make an order as soon as it becomes available. The deposit is refundable and transferable. I have not signed any documents and I imagine I won't do so until the build sheet is available.

It seems ludacris that you would even drop coin at this point. Way to little info out at this time.
Really? because you're trying really hard to know the dealership so you can do the exact same thing...

Haha then why don't you do that!? That's what I did! It sounds like 4DR got an excellent deal but I wouldn't say ~$500 is significantly better, especially since it could be across the country. Wait a sec!? Why aren't you pressing 4DR so hard for his dealer!?

Want my unneeded advice? Pull your deposit back and wait for more info and a better deal. You could probably talk to 4DR and get his dealer connection and already be $400-600 dollars better off.
haha dude you've gotta pick one side.. you either have to be upset that i'm not immediately sharing the dealer because you want to get a good deal too or you have to be upset because i'm jumping the gun a bit quick and you think I could save more money by waiting..

Just relax man lol you'll get the Gen 2 that you want, at the price you want... and I'll share my dealer experiences soon
