In the dirt dude - that's where you can own that Chevy (and his buddy with the Dodge).
T/Haul ass mode is good, but you would probably want 4H in most conditions.
And it's a short-lived race anyways, as our 100mph limiter kinda gets in the way giving them an unfair advantage. These things aren't race trucks - they're heavy, unaerodynamic pigs with a lot of low end power. That being said, I have played a bit to find out my limits, and the only contender that blew my doors off was a +500hp supercharged Land Rover.
Thank you for a more sincere and thruthful answer.
I was getting tired of the "holier than thou" crowd.
I refuse to believe that I am the only person on the entire forum that uses the 411HP on the road!?!? Not a damn one of you plays with other drivers with the attention we get!?!? Even if it it just barely edging out the Ram next to you as you leave the stop light (i.e. not flooring it but keeping barely in front of him) or timing your entrance to the freeway to not end up behind granny and her buick.
"Nope, Chris, I only use my truck for Baja racing on the weeknds here in Ohio, because I am a REAL Raptor owner. I am not like you and your pavement pounder."
Well I live in San Angelo, and I am gathering that my little town is different than EVERY other town in the whole world. Angelo, is a college/military town in west Texas. And since our town has a large Ag program at the college, we seem to attract many of what I call "Hurley Cowboys".
And these "Hurley Cowboys" love customizing there pickups to look as if they somehow at the age of 18-20 own a very large ranch in the middle of a swamp. Containing no paved or unpaved roads. All customizing is done with mom/dad money.
There trucks of choice seems to be Dodge Cummins lifted as high and cheaply as possible, with RockStar wheel in a 20+ size and Nitto Mud tires.
And when they see my Raptor-licious (Orange with stripes) truck, they chomp at the bits to 'see' what they can do. When this happens, I feel a tingle in my shorts (I believe they are called balls). And I don't have time to arrange an off road match up (plus the city is moving in on our large off road park, because of dumping it has been shut down.)
Sure this truck was intended for high speed baja prerunning. But if that was the only thing it could do the SVT boys would have never made a 6.2 an option. Hell in 2010 the 5.4 will do the job and in 2011+ a 5.0 will prove adequate.
I am pretty sure it says 'SVT' before it says 'Raptor'? Not 'Raptor by SVT'
I will leave with a Jason Aldean song quote; "There's still black marks on that county road, where we drag raced our pick-ups and mustangs, And weathered all the sun and rain"
