Finally!

Ordered a black SCrew on 10/6. Luxury pkg, Nav, F/R cameras. Finally got a build date assigned: 1/2/12.

finally got a build date! Screw Black with all options ordered 9/15. Build date is Jan.2nd. I thought the 2nd was the official new years holiday.

Well I heard from my salesman that I have a vin and build date of Jan 19

Holy crapola, that would definitely put a delivery into February! F-that!

I'll post my timeline so far as a reference for anyone who is in a similar position as me. I got my sticker today. The order was placed on 11/05/11, I received a vin# on 11/21/11. My build date is 12/19/11. My dealer thinks delivery should be the week of 1/02/11.

The Raptor I ordered is a 2012 Silver SCREW, the only options are the Raptor Plus Package (trailer brake controller and rear camera) and the hood graphic. I ordered for $500 over invoice.

How does this shit happen?? Ford really has their head up their ass on this order system!!! I ordered early october and nothing, Reptar ordered in August and nothing. not to mention all the other guys. Maybe we should go cancel our order and reorder tomorrow, then we will get a VIN next week!!! WTF...

YEAH - Go figure! Me and Reptar are fishing out of the same exact boat! I have been away from FORD for 20 years - been on the dark side with Chevy - sure makes me wonder when I read these posts! AND I am going thru a PRIMO dealer like Randy! Hope it all goes away when I drive it the first time? Not jumping the gun....I still want a VIN!

I honestly think they would rather have you just buy wahts on the lot. My last 2 trucks have been Fords and I love the product, they have been great. the previous buying experiences have been great as well. Its just this order business is complete BS. Now looking at guys getting build dates jan 19 means best case I wont see my truck until Feb.

Ordered a white scab w/ all the options except for the tailgate step and side graphics.

I ordered it in mid September from a local dealer.

ordered in mid september, build date january 9th, hoping to have it sometime in february is my timeline
