Hello,
I just purchased a new 2012 Raptor and I have a small vibration from the back end when turning sharp at low speeds, almost like the back tires are skipping. Is this something that is normal because it doesn't seem like it should be to me?

No it is not in 4x4 nor does anything indicate that the diff is locked. Something to do with the limited slip maybe?

One possibility could be lack of gear lube in the diff. Although it is rare, some dealers have been known for not performing proper dealer prep and making sure that the gear lube, transfer case fluid, etc are at proper levels. That is where I would start. The best way to check is to find the refill plug on top of the diff and stick your finger in it, you should be able to touch the fluid through the fill hole if the level is correct.

Very good point!

Fluid is at correct level....so off to the dealer I go. 500 miles and I'm already having issues, this isn't a good start.

Well I talked with the manager of the service department. He thinks that this is happening because the vehicle was sitting on the lot for long time not moving causing the fluid drain to the bottom the diff, making the top half dry. He said to drive it for another 1000 miles to see if it stops and then if it doesn't they will replace the clutch pack.
