Sure thing boss. You realize u said u drilled a hole 3/4 when the hole I told you was 3/4(hint small hole) but then posted a different pic with a bigger hole and then said I was no help when you texted all day when the pic u posted was different. Do me a favor and find help somewhere else if you don't know how to use the word thanks.

So that rubber piece I removed WASNT the piece you said to?? I'm not joking, I'm being serious.

That was all I found find in the general area. There was a hole on the left side of a bunch of tubing but no way I was gonna get in to it.

Your help is very much appreciated. With this particular instant, I just tried and tried and tried and tried. I removed the carpet, I pulled down the firewall. I stuck my fat hands and arms as far up there as I could. I tried for over an hour to find that hole opening. And it was getting frustrating hearing you say it was so easy. Like, I was missing something so simple. So then I went back and tried again. And again. And again. And again. And I still couldn't find anything. I found a small hole, much smaller then 3/4 of an inch. Once I found the small hole, I said forget it and drilled a hole that was easy to access without compromising the integrity of any vital components of the truck.

Your help was very appreciated. Don't think for one second that it wasn't.

That wasn't the piece. My pic is different from your pic and I said it was right below the big round part on the side. Too hard to get the exact pic of the hole. Sorry I made it easy. I said that probably because I did MajorAR's less then a half hour. Our power wires are the same since we have the same radio.

Anyways I'm glad ya got it finally and thank you. I will see ya this weekend finally!

I made it.
Took a standard network wall jack and dermeled it down to fit. Used a RJ-45 coupler to attach it to the keystone plate. Had to cut a hole in the console, but it was t that bad.

So the microphone jack is the same wiring and everything as an ethernet jack?

Same jack? Also, how is the jack/wallplate secured to the console?

Can this scenario be set up with a splitter? If I have a co-driver with - have the same jack on the other side of the console as well and then plug microphone in on the side needing it during that time. I understand the cord will reach but just saying.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to for that situation.
