Just got an update.
It's bad news.

They have to change the whole engine, the warranty won't cover and my insurances won't cover.

About $12,000 that I have to pay out of my own pockets.

Water raptor and speed = crappy day.

That's exactly what happened, the thing protecting water from getting in ripped apart and let the water in the air filter, then got inside my engine and broke everything.

I'll pay the 12k and get some modifications down, let just say I'm quite disappointed in Ford, not even willing to pay a % of the total cost.

This has happened to a couple of people. Talk to the dealership, see if they can cover some of it. Try another dealership, talk to your insurance again. Keep elevating it until you get a better answer than NO.

Sorry that happened to you.

Man, that's devasting! 12k seems like a lot. Wonder what livermois wants for a 6.6 litre. Good luck! Keep us updated, hope you get it back soon.

hey man sorry this is happening to you. I agree that if you have time and energy, try different dealers and press you're insurance company. that's what insurance is for. I wouldn't take a no in the first round.

Never had problems with mud and water. The only thing I messed up we're the break sensors. Water got in but it was 2 feet more or less.
