guys just a question

from left to right:

oil pressure

coolant temp - coolant

fuel

transmission temp

right?

Coolant cools the engine block? Only? Not the transmission block as well?

And transmission gauge from photo, thats the transmission oil temp?

thanks!

Yes exactly. Out of curiosity, what transmission temperatures do you normally see on a Gen2?

Yup! The transmission fluid is cooled by the transmission cooler. Assuming it looks the same in the Gen 2, it looks like a tiny radiator in front of the actual radiator. There's also some cooling effect from the excess fluid sitting in the pan. This is why you'll see some aftermarket pans (AFE) with cooling fins and extra capacity. The cooled fluid is pumped vertically up from the pan into the transmission, while hot fluid is pumped to the transmission cooler and back to the pan. Very similar concept to the radiator, but different fluid and different system.

A pipe runs to and from this plate with oil circulating through the plate.
